The World's First Bad-Sweater Fetish Video

At first, this promotional video for I.B. Diffusion, the makers of the world's most imaginatively horrifying sweaters from the '80s, seems like your typical "Yeah, ha, what a weird time that was" mildly amusing thing. But if you keep watching, it just gets weirder and weirder (and more mesmerizing) to the point where you start to wonder if everyone involved in it was on a mixture of crack and angel dust (get it, because those were big drugs in the '80s!) Seriously, try it, you'll like it:

I think this might qualify as the first pre-internet fetish video, like those ones about famous women's feet. I also think Patrick Bateman killed all those people.

lol, maybe i'm a weirdo, but i liked some of those sweaters, particularly about 1:50
and i LOLed at the background music for the first minute or so. sounds like a vanilla ice-d version of "every breath you take", if you get what i mean

i always imagine how embarrassing it must have been filming stuff like this for the models. being instructed to act luxurious and sensual on a sofa, or abstract dance shape-making on pillars.

yikes, ladies, that's your job.

also, not to state the obvious, but WOW those are some fucking monstrous sweaters, accessorized with some monstrous hats and hair and earrings.

The first 30 seconds with the lady in the blue hat is EPIC! Not to mention 2:33 with the weird art gallery aerobics class. Seriously, who had the authority to make this video 5:12 long?

I think the gallery aerobics section of this video is where Mike Myers got the inspiration for Sprockets.

I thought it was going to be weird because of the ridiculous sweaters but NO it was weird because of so many other things. The sweaters were the least-weird part of this video.
My name is I.B. Diffusion and I make people really uncomfortable.
