I know I am living in the times of the dinosaurs and whatnot, but I don't have tivo or DVR. And what was the excuse for stealing that copy machine bit from Homicide (both the book and the TV show) -- which was later borrowed for the Wire? Why use something that's already been on TV twice? There have to be better ways to pay homage, if that's what they were going for.
