The Emmys: Everyone Suddenly Feels Differently About Josh Groban
Every time they went to commercial during the Emmys last night, the hosts teased Josh Groban's upcoming performance of thirty classic TV theme songs. As someone who barely knows who Josh Groban is, it sounded kind of lame, not to mention long. But oops, no, it turned out to be arguably the best award-show musical number ever (mostly because award show musical numbers have been all terrible up to now.) My favorite part (everyone's favorite part) is the South Park theme:
I'm not going to run out and buy Josh Groban records now or anything, but this was good. The Baywatch part had me in stitches.

Ha, I'm actually really surprised you liked that. I can see some people hating it, but as someone who appreciates groban (his christmas albums are tight, alright!), that was pretty cool.

I thought the part where he sang a snippet of the Golden Girls theme and you can hear some people in the audience politely clapping in honor of Estelle Getty was really WHOOPS, I just killed myself.
Score = 1
that was pretty awesome.
less embarrassing than the rest of the emmys i'm sure.

His voice sounds like a black person's impression of a white guy.
Also, Josh Groban singing "suicide is painless" is some sort of crazy irony.
Score = 1
Josh Groban reminds me of someone who would watch a lot of TV as a kid, that I can imagine him jumping up at this offer to sing theme songs almost immediately.
P.S. Three and a Half men? Really?

I liked the part where Animal jerked off on the drumset.
