It's Not The Holidays Without TLC's "Sleigh Ride"
The holiday season is full of comforting traditions. Even the most cynical of us has some sensory trigger that gives us that momentary, child-eyed rush of holiday cheer. For me, it's hearing TLC's "Sleigh Ride." It really takes me back to a more hopeful time, before Left Eye burned down that dude's house. Before she died. Hearing it now, I can almost smell the Arby's where they were probably playing this in the background. It really takes me back to that discount aisle at Sam Goody where they had a bin full of this on cassingle. 1992, never forget.

two points:
1. they used sleigh bells in all their songs anyway, so this was the most obvious move ever
2. i have a 69 boyz / quad city dj's xmas track that is completely ridiculous if you want it.
