A Colbert Christmas: Indie Folk Darling Feist!
Last night's Stephen Colbert special, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All was hilarious. The Comedy Central people only put up one full clip, though -- of the John Legend song "Nutmeg," that was funny, but not funny enough to be the only thing standing in the way of some of us being able to buy the DVD as a Colbert-introducing gift for our families (bad!) The entire thing was funny -- even Toby Keith, but Feist's performance as an angel was particularly special. She's pretty:
Wouldn't it be great if the Colbert Christmas special aired every year on Christmas Eve, and families gathered 'round to watch it? Weird and great. (It'll be available on Amazon for $12.99 tomorrow.)

Honestly, it wasn't that good, in my opinion. The concept was good, but in execution it got old incredibly quick. The songs got old after the Chanukah song.

Well let me amend that: Elvis getting eaten by a bear while Stephen and Feist yell was funny.

It was kind of a throwaway, but the Oreo joke was my favourite just because of her reaction. "No. And he wants you to stop asking for that."

I thought it was all funny, but especially Feist, and also, Stephen making out with Elvis Costello (I think?) in a bear costume.
Best.
Moment.
Ever.

Elvis Costello was in the bear's belly because the bear ate Costello. Santa killed the bear and gutted the beast, saving Elvis before he was digested. So he was making out with the bear, not Elvis. And I Can't Believe what i said makes sense.
