The First Poster For Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist

Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist, a comedy/romance based on a bestselling Young Adult novel, starring Michael Cera and Kat Dennings, comes out October 3 and seems like it will be pretty big:

High school student Nick O'Leary,(Michael Cera) member of the queercore band The Jerk Offs, meets college-bound Norah Silverber (Kat Dennings) and asks her to be his girlfriend for five minutes in order to avoid his ex-sweetheart.

The MTV Movies blog is calling Nick And Norah "the next Juno", but let's not typecast our boy Michael as he grows into leading man roles. Michael must remain famous forever for the universe to remain intact, and the journey from Superbad to Best Actor Oscar is a delicate and gradual one.

oh man, i love how this blurb coincided with me seeing a dude with a pansy division patch on the back of his denim vest last weekend.

I LOVE YOU TEAM DRESCH.

I'm actually excited about this movie because Bishop Allen is in it. Hopefully the movie will not only turn Michael Cera into the next Michael Cera, but also Bishop Allen into the next Kimya Dawson.

Peeves

No. No more movies about everlasting teenage love. I don't care how cute and meek the baby daddy is.

i'm excited for it, despite the Juno font and potential to be over-hyped and underwhelming. This is one of my favorite books ever, so i'm psyched no matter what.
