Kathie Lee Gifford Throws Al Roker Under The Bus

thumbnail icon: Kathie Lee Gifford Throws Al Roker Under The Bus

Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, and the other one, played Rock Band on the Today Show this morning. It's one of the most excruciating things I have ever seen. It's like watching Ricky Gervais and Larry David have sex. Granted, I only watch the fourth hour of Today, because that's when Kathie Lee Gifford sheds her human mask and reveals to the world what she really is. A monster. So I haven't actually seen the performance in its purest form. But in this clip, we not only get to witness the shuddering humiliation of four grown adults traveling first class to Lame Town on the Whoops Express, we also get the color commentary from one of the most vile human beings on the planet (seriously, Kathie Lee Gifford, if you love America you'll do what's right.)

There you go. Just one professional making jokes about another professional's tendency to shit his pants. Obviously, I have no love in my heart for Al Roker, but shame on you, Kathie Lee. For a man with so little dignity, every shred of it counts. Stick to ridiculing Hoda and dropping sly hints about how unhappy you are and leave the fat, mediocre clown alone.

It is very clear (in my fantasmatic projection) that Hoda effing hates Kathie Lee, and is pained by having to laugh at every inane thing that comes out of her mouth. Same goes for the long-suffering crew members who are also forced to "spontaneously" guffaw from behind the camera every couple of minutes.
