OK Internet, Here's The New Andrew WK Dancing On TV GIF You Asked For

thumbnail: OK Internet, Here's The New Andrew WK Dancing On TV GIF You Asked For

Andrew WK went on the CW11 this morning at 6:45AM to promote his new show, Destroy Build Destroy. You know, 6:45AM, the time when most AndrewWK fans and/or the children for whom his new show is intended are watching the morning news. In any case, it was a very boring interview, which actually had less to do with the ungodly hour and more to do with the insufferableness of local morning news anchors. "Most rock stars like to wear black and look goth, but you wear all white." Really? What year is it? 2000 and huh? (Followed by a joke about Oxi-Clean. Smart.) At one point Andrew WK started to talk about going on a date with Kathy Griffin, which might have been kind of interesting if the anchor lady hadn't literally cut him off mid-sentence and just been like "Whoops, sorry, we have to go." It is so awkward when people answer the questions that you ask them, because it's like, WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS.

But one thing did come out of it. In the spirit of the Internet's beloved animated GIF of Andrew WK dancing with Conan O'Brien, here, interent, is the new Andrew WK dancing on TV animated GIF you have been asking for:

In (Maybe) Defense Of Kathie Lee

thumbnail: In (Maybe) Defense Of Kathie Lee

Kathie Lee Gifford is kind of a mystery to me. Hear me out, here. We all know she seemed pretty awful in the '90s, but all morning show people are always awful, and the two major things that happened to her (the child labor scandal and the Frank Gifford tabloid entrapment thing) weren't really Kathie's fault, but just convenient things we used as a society as good enough reasons to kick out someone we thought had worn out her welcome by taking her "perfect mother, wife, and human" role past the point of tolerance. But if you watch Kathie now, her fall from the highest heights of morning show fame and subsequent relegation to a totally unnecessary fourth hour of The Today Show seem to, if not mellowed her, forced her to take what may have always been a self-caricature to the next level. Kathie Lee may actually be a self-deprecating natural comedian acutely aware of the miseries and uncertainties of life but choosing to celebrate it anyway with a great big "Aren't I Just Ridiculous?" show. Or maybe not, but this video of introductory gags from her old workout video seem to show a woman who is mildly annoying, but definitely not taking herself too seriously.

Stephen Colbert Talks About Going Commando On Good Morning America

thumbnail: Stephen Colbert Talks About Going Commando On Good Morning America

In a presumably pre-taped segment that aired this morning on Good Morning America, Stephen Colbert told Diane Sawyer about the four upcoming shows (starting tonight) that he's taping in front of the troops at Saddam Hussein's palace, and showed her some videos of his experience in basic training (or "basic training"). Stephen explained that he was able to make the trip despite suffering from "a rare medical condition known as cowardice." They also showed photos of Stephen's new buzz cut, administered to him by Presidential order by General Raymond Odierno:

The Early Show Asks Neil Patrick Harris About Kate Gosselin's Mullet For Some Reason

thumbnail: The Early Show Asks Neil Patrick Harris About Kate Gosselin's Mullet For Some Reason

The most charming celebrity, Neil Patrick Harris, was on CBS's Early Show this morning to speak briskly about his Tony-hosting gig and about getting advice from Whoopi Goldberg and Hugh Jackman. The funniest part was when they showed a picture of a makeup-and-tattoo-covered, very serious-looking NPH In Cabaret ("I had to dye my underarm hair blue-black for six months"), but the weirdest part was when they showed him a picture of how he would look with Kate from Jon And Kate Plus 8's terrible haircut.

Ann Curry Can't Believe She Grabbed Brad Pitt's Face

thumbnail: Ann Curry Can't Believe She Grabbed Brad Pitt's Face

Ann Curry interviewed Brad Pitt live from Cannes on the Today Show this morning about Inglourious Basterds, a movie, Ann kept pointing out, she has seen and Brad has not. In addition to some good-old-fashioned sycophantic Ann Curryisms ("There isn't a shred of the humanitarian Brad we've come to know in this character, because this character is heartless."), she pressed Brad at the end about his private life to the point where he had to shut her down. (He doesn't even have anything out there to say to "the ladies"! He refuses to say he's happy in his life now!) And, for some reason, she grabbed his face. According to Ann's Twitter, she can't believe it either.

The Cosby Show's Touching-Yet-Awkward Today Show Reunion

thumbnail: The Cosby Show's Touching-Yet-Awkward Today Show Reunion

There was a big Cosby Show reunion on both the regular Today Show and the fourth hour with Kathie and Hoda this morning, presided over by patriarch Bill Cosby, who was...intense, argumentative, grouchy, and a bit of a blowhard. Just like most people get at a certain age! He's just a Grandpa, I guess! Lucky for viewers, in both segments, Malcolm Jamal Warner and Keshia Knight Pulliam stepped in and brought the conversation gracefully back to the relevant nostalgia. But in the case of the fourth hour, not before Bill wasted several minutes demanding food. Seriously. Both segments are after the jump.

NKOTB Bring The Creepy Mask Fetish To The Today Show

I think we can all agree that what happened on The Today Show this morning was just wrong (the beginning, duh). Mommy, I'm scared at the TV set!:

I would complain about the NKOTB's inexplicably frequent appearances on The Today Show (payola HAS to be involved -- the public is not demanding more NKOTB medleys), but I kind of want them to do femskins next!

Matthew McConaughey Gets "Pranked" By Good Morning America

thumbnail: Matthew McConaughey Gets "Pranked" By Good Morning America

Tiptoes star Matthew McConaughey appeared on Good Morning America today to promote his stupid-but-not-completely-unbearable looking new movie, The Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past, but the hosts of GMA were all in DC for the celebration of Obama's first 100 days, so they "pranked" him by having him come on an empty set. While Matthew does have a few flashes of what looks like fear behind his eyes, I'm pretty sure the MOVING CAMERA was a tipoff that GMA didn't stand him up:
