I shouldn't even be here right now. I SHOULD BE GETTING INTO MY COSTUME! If I don't hurry, my facepaint won't be dry before I get to the MOONVIE theater, and everyone will be like "hahah, you look like you're only 3,000 years old!?" I would die from embarrassment, IF I WASN'T ALREADY DEAD. And if I could feel emotions, like embarrassment. This guy knows what I am talking about. TEAM GHOSTS!
Anyway, got to run FLY. (Get it? You get it! DRACULAS!) After the jump, the five Highest Rated comments of the week, as voted on by you, the Lowest Rated comment, and the Editor's Choice.

Can you guys believe that there is only one week left until TWILIGHT NEW MOON IZ HERE? It's like all that anticipation, all those sleepless nights and sweaty palms, it all comes down to this moment. Well, not this moment, but next week's moment. Obviously, I am joking. Twilight is for baby garbage clowns. But I've written about it so much these past few months that it does seem appropriate that I finally figure out what in the hell I am even talking about. So this weekend, in preparation for next week's communal panic attack (you can have a panic attack about being TOO HAPPY, right?) I am going to watch Twilight. Oh God, what if I love it? What if I don't come back Monday. What if I leave Videogum to start a Kristen Stewart angelfire fansite called Stew_Heads_69? Well, in the event that this is goodbye, just know that you guys were my favorite, until a terrible movie about teenage vampires as poorly-imagined metaphor for sexual confusion became my favorite.

Last weekend, something strange happened. Some of the Videogum Monsters created their own secret, password-protected chat room. In 2009! Incredible! I suppose every monster has his cave, or whatever. As it turned out, though, we already had a Videogum Chat Room, originally set up last winter for the 2009 Academy Award Video Pizza Party, and lying dormant, empty and silent ever since. Until now. Now there's monsters in there all the time! It's like that secret room in Harry Potter that you can only find if you are a nerd. You should check it out, if you want. Or don't. This is America, it's up to you. Put it in your pocket for later. Whatever. But this is a weekly feature highlighting the week's best comments, not the week's best chat rooms, and so:

Oh man. Another great week in Videogum Commenter History. Good work, goblins. Starting your own party games? Making lists? Who knew! And then there were the actual comments: TBS Very Funny. So how appropriate that we celebrate everyone's hard work on today, the most important day on the Monster Calendar. Halloween is basically Yom Kippur for you creeps. Except instead of fasting and atoning for your sins, you eat all the candy and dress up like Steve Zisou. Close enough!

I'm going to keep saying this throughout the post, which I know because I already wrote my little notes for the Ball and saved this intro until the end, but you guys really BROUGHT IT this week. Clear eyes, full hearts, GREAT COMMENTS. Just excellent work all around. It was kind of like that awful-looking trailer for that new Sandra Bullock Lifetime movie, The Blind Side. "This blog is your family, Monsters. When you comment to him, you comment to me. Are you going to comment your family, Monsters." Hmm, that kind of fell apart at the end. And I'm sorry to tarnish this genuinely nice moment with a reference to what looks like the worst movie since The Family Stone.
Anyway, let's just get to it. It's your time to shine! After the jump, the five Highest Rated Comments of the week, as voted on by you, the Lowest Rated Comment of the week, and the Editor's Choice.

Obviously, this week belongs to Bubble Boy. Obviously. "Personally, I think that the biggest story this week was Jamie Foxx weighing in on the Roman Polanski situation in Parade magazine." No, you are wrong. It's Bubble Boy. Bubble Boy all the bubble way. Although, if I had to pick a close second for the story that has gotten the most media attention, it would be the entries in the Videogum Kate Gosselin Halloween Costume Fan Fiction Contest. HUGE STORY. Just kidding, but you should go read them, they are really great. And Dafs's winning entry in this week's You Can Make It Up as well.
In more relevant, Monsters' Ball news, today we bid goodbye to Da Cake Eatur in all of his many forms. Earlier this week he changed his name to Pistachio Disguisey, after he had already changed his name to Mayor Bee, Old Dude, WoW Rules 69, wha wha What?!, and a few others. You were warned, mister. So, now you are banned. For violation of the User Agreement. All of your comments are being deleted, and you will not be able to participate in the Videogum Commenting Community anymore. Bye bye, creep! One user name per user, you guys.

Los Angeles is so different from New York. I'm surprised that no one has ever commented on that before. For example: in Los Angeles everyone drives cars, but in New York everyone takes the subway. AND OTHER DIFFERENCES. In any case, I am glad to be back with you guys where I belong, in the mud. Who knew that Oprah peeing for 10 minutes would create so much mud? It's up to my knees in here! Yuck, Oprah! Anyway...

Well, really only one thing happened this week, and that thing's name is Roman Polanski drugged and sodomized a 13-year-old girl (not necessarily in that order) in 1977, and was recently arrested on decades old warrants stemming from those criminal charges. It was a powerful reminder that there are Actual Real Monsters in this world, right, little-m-monsters? What else is there even to talk about? This guy? Well, that guy is pretty amazing, but he was not recently arrested for drugging and sodomizing a 13-year-old girl, and so he will have to WAIT HIS TURN. And so, it should come as no surprise that this week's ball is mostly centered on this International Scandal. Which makes sense. You guys know what's up.
