Let's Start This Week Out With A Stoned Dog

A lady was walking her dog in a Seattle park on Friday when he came back from a run acting strangely and moving his head from side to side. She took him to the emergency vet and it turns out he was totally stoned! This is this weekend's top news story:

My favorite part of this story is the heated, and in some cases, vicious, argument it's somehow spawned in the YouTube comments about whether this story was anti-pot propaganda or whether you can get stoned from eating raw weed:

YouTube commenters just never take the weekend off.

I would totally trust a "VampireLove" in advice about drug use.

I lots-of-loved at this YouTube comment: "Seriously vampire dude - you don't know what you're talking about."

SERIOUSLY VAMPIRE DUDE. No one takes him seriously.

Neil Patrick Harris stole that dog's car, so it had to ride a cheetah to the vet.

Guys, I'm not gonna ruin it for you, but can you guess which side of the debate "xmedical420Marijuana" was on?

Yep, let me be the first to ask which park was this?

That's what I was hoping to hear, as well. It might make my trips home more interesting.

Looks like Ravenna park. It's in a neat little neighborhood with 1920s houses just north of UW's greek system. I lived in a little duplex right by there in college.

no slight to videogum, but CNNs 'Dog Gets High' was a much funnier title for this video.

Not to be a downer, but I think they were actually filming for Beethoven's Sixth: Pineapple Express.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but this was my current boss's ex-roommates dog. He was reading the story somewhere on Friday and just went 'oh shit.' It seems like perhaps this isn't the first time it's happened.

Is using the camera to show us a dog's [stoned] point of view for 30 seconds really helping anyone? Show me more stoned dog and less ground please.

i had to watch the clip a couple of times because i thought the dog owner was saying that the dog was smiling at her trying to make her "feel reassured" about being stoned. which would have put an entirely different spin on this story. too many meetings this morning...
