Kid, From Kid N' Play, Dresses Like A Big Boy Now

Oh man. It is sad when he says "I know you're wondering what is Christopher 'Kid' Reid is doing in a fine suit and tie," because prior to him saying that I wasn't wondering at all. I fully expect someone in his mid-40s to occasionally, if not regularly, wear a fine suit and tie. Even if that person built his career on dressing in Cross Colours, I would not be, like weirded out to discover that sometimes he doesn't wear Clown Shorts From 1992. He's an adult now. So him saying that he knows I'm wondering is what actually MAKES me wonder. What is he doing in that fine suit and tie? Did he steal it from someone who is still famous? Perhaps he is wearing it to a job interview? Or to take his real estate broker's licensing exam? OR MAYBE HIS HOMEBOY GOT SHOT, BECAUSE THAT IS A TYPE OF JOKE THAT WE STILL MAKE AND THINK WORKS IN 2009. Sadface. (Thanks for the tip, Sammy.)

If that's the quality comedy you get to see in his stand up act well, i just hope Dave can "hook me up" with some tickets to his next show

Why isn't he doing magic? (Yes I watched Celebracadabra, and yes I'm ashamed of it)

Hear that sound just off camera? That's a guy holding a gun to Kid's head and forcing him to sell suits. "Kid don't wanna be selling suits! Kid wanna be hangin' wit da laydeez"

You played yourself, Kid. Obviously this is some Samson-type situation -- you cut off your majestic extreme hi-top fade, you end up shilling for the suitshop of your local mall.

This video inspired me to do a IMDB search on House Party and I'm here to report that piece of shit movie had 3 sequels. Videogum is on fire today. Keep the lulz coming.

Real Talk : I had a huge crush on Play back then, so I thoroughly enjoyed all three house parties. (Though my favorite of the KidnPlay œuvre is probably 'Class Act.' (DON'T JUDGE ME, I was but a child.))

Alexandrararara, I don't know how to say this without making you uncomfortable, but, I don't want to meet your daddy I just want you in my caddy. That's right, I"m soliciting you for sex because I agree with your opinion on House Party.

I hate doing this, because it most likely just means I'm missing the joke and I look like an idiot, but wasn't that the joke. That you weren't thinking what's he doing in a suit and tie? Also, I'm going to come out and say this, I watched House Party every time it was on TBS and loved every minute of it. It can't compete with House Guest starring Sinbad, can't really compete with any of SInbad's movies actually, but it was still great when I was 8 years old.

I'd come to that convention. I love this place, but the obsequious single-mindedness can get very frustrating.

is here a funny way to say, 'i think that gwyneth paltrow means well and is just totally unaware of how removed her life is from a reality that the average person can relate to so she ends up sounding like an asshole when she's trying to be encouraging'? no, dude, there's no way to win monster's ball that way. (not that you need help on that, mr. i-win-all-the-time-it's-no-big- deal.)

i'll be sending you guys membership cards in the mail toot-suite, mes amis. or, should we have jackets with our club name on the back and our nicknames on the front, like classic car clubs? i'm open to suggestions. 'the part-time gabe-alos'?

This guy is wondering what Christopher "Kid" Reid is doing supporting Obama.

So maybe it all just got to his head and he started thinking that everyone at all times was wondering what Christopher "Kid" Reid (and sometimes his groupies who hang out at men's suit shops) are doing.

I have a hard time believing that Play would care all that much if Kid showed up to his funeral in a tank top.

I've only heard him referred to as "Christopher 'Kid' Reid" by Gwenyth Paltrow.
(And him in third person, to be fair.)
