It's The Girls' Nite, The Girls' Nite Out

thumbnail icon: It's The Girls' Nite, The Girls' Nite Out

Hey guys, it's Lindsay, the chick half of Videogum. My co-editor Gabe has been kidnapped by Verne Troyer, so it's going to be just me today (plus a new Worst Movie we found in Gabe's personal papers after the kidnapping. The Family Stone, you guys! Finally!), and then some fun end-of-year stuff until after the holidays, when Verne will suddenly have a change of heart and let Gabe go. So here, of course, is a Christian music video about men who dress up in drag to try to get into the Girls' Night Out, which takes place at church and is about praying. That sounds like fun (NOT):

"Leave the kids home with our Promise Keepers." Ha! (Via Everythingisterrible.)

Apart from the denim vest, I like how with the sweep of her meaty arm, a herd of cattle can provide clout.

My mom loves Chonda Pierce too. Apparently Chonda has a harrowing story of childhood abuse, which incidentally is a real boon for a Christian comedian.

Pointing to cows while singing "Girl's Nite Out"?

Um... is she implying she's a cow, along with the rest of the Girls? The video appears to say this.

Seeing the neon sign that reads "The Girl's Nite Out" towards the end of the video definitely supports your claim that it's just Chonda & the cowz!

If I were that guy what got only half a haircut, I totally wouldn't mind after seeing a cow sing the words!

The thing that bothers me most is how they spell it "nite" which is the stupidest short-hand spelling of any word. It only shortens it by one letter!

The English language (which is evolving anyway) sorely needs to be updated. "gh" is pointless. Don't get me started on why "ph" still exists in modern English where the letter "f" works just as well.
