Jimmy Fallon Interviewed "Zack Morris" Last Night

thumbnail icon: Jimmy Fallon Interviewed "Zack Morris" Last Night

Last night, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon got a lot further in their quest to reunite the cast of Saved By The Bell when Mark-Paul Gosselaar appeared in character as "Zack Morris" and updated Jimmy on his fabulous life in Hollywood, where he moved after school to be an actor with his two best friends and high school principal: "I had to change my name to Mark-Paul Gosselaar because there was already a Zack Morris in SAG." Zack, as Mark-Paul, now stars on the show Raising The Bar, which he managed to fully promote without ever dropping character. Oh, also? Turns out Zack and Kelly Kapowski were married, but "Things got pretty rough after we split up. Kelly moved to a different zip code." Zack even plays a Zack Attack song backed up by The Roots. Who knew Mark-Paul Gosselaar was a such a good sport/funny guy?

This could be a running gag with '90s shows. (Do ALF next!)

Agreed. I cannot believe how little he has aged! Also, Kelly and Screech, who do you think you're kidding. Get on board! I also would like Max from The Max who mysteriously disappeared to show up as well.

Not even gonna lie, I still watch SBTB almost every morning when I'm getting ready for work. This was amazing.

Sweet merciful crap. The one time I care about something on Fallon and I can't see it anywhere. Zach still looks pretty damn good! I want Screech and Lisa to do "The Sprain" or Jesse singing how excited she is. Just bring me back there guys!

I'm not going to be really impressed unless Tori shows up in a leather jacket and everyone is all, "Who is that? Ohhh right."

no need to give Jimmy Fallon any props. A.D. Miles is the head writer.

Have to agree with you - I think the fact that Fallon is so willing to go for these unorthodox (at least by late night standards) skits/segments points to a lot of potential - already being realized by this (when you have a guest completely up for it as well) and stuff like the recent Dave Matthews GPS, which was also great - good on you, Jimmy Fallon - keep up the good work - of course, having the Roots was/is/will always be the best decision - and the music spots on the show consistently kill.

WHOA! That was too awesome!!! I loved this show so much.

This skit was pretty good too. How they managed to sneak in all those little details from the show. I remember when Zack and Kelly broke up because of that Jeff guy. It was disastrous, I even remember crying! Yes, when you are that young that stuff affects you a lot.

Screech will surely be in (hello, sex tape, etcetera). He is just making himself too self-important. A friend who lives in Milwaukee, where Justin Diamond lives now, told me he ran a scam selling memorabilia because he was going bankrupt and losing his house, then he never sent people anything! Scum bag!

That was one of the best late night moments in a long time! I'm talking: letterman, conan, etc.- all late night shows.

Last I heard Screech was planning on writing a book detailing how his costars slept with each other and smoked weed, so it'd surprising that the others would even tolerate his presence.

Wow what a good sport and really funny! I loved this show growing up and most of the cast members for a reunion would be cool excluding Dustin Diamond. If you saw the way he acted on those Vh1 reality shows and how everybody wanted to kick his ass then him not coming back would be a good thing.

i'm hoping fallon can reassemble the cast of ALL THAT. you know you loved that shit. as a kid, keenan thompson was the pinnacle of high comedy... is it in fact unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?

also, mpg looks exactly the same as he did in 1992.
