Snoop Dogg Strips Jimmy Fallon Of His "Least Capable Host" Title

Snoop Dogg is getting his own talk show? (via Rap-Up) What For?

Snoop Dogg is joining the ranks of Jay Leno and David Letterman with his own late night talk show.

The Doggfather will host "Dogg After Dark," a new jam-packed weekly variety talk show shot at Los Angeles hotspot The Kress on Hollywood Boulevard. "Dogg After Dark" will bring Snoop's Doggystyle swagger to the airwaves with raw interviews with A-list celebrities and musicians, hilarious sketch-comedy segments, and musical performances from the hottest artists. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop's own in-house band, the Snoopadelics.

Still calling him The Doggfather, huh? The man is 63 years old and the world is collapsing. But OK, sure, The Doggfather.

The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks? How relevant. I'm not saying that the world needs a nightly Snoop Dogg talk show that broadcasts five times a week for 20 years, but THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. Seven episodes of a late night (also, the show's going to be on at 9:30 so relax with the "late night," press release) talk show just feels like someone wanted to refurbish their Scrooge McDuck-style weed-vault.

And now we wait to see which guy gets canceled first: DOGG or FALLON.

My money's on Fallon.

I saw his interview on Conan the other night and it was awkward to the point of being unwatchable.

Doggie Fizzle Televizzle was amazing. Snoop is comedy gold. His Conan interviews are the best (other than Norm of course). Fallon could be funny if he tries to be less of a douchebag and more of the 1999 Pre Shitty Queen Latifah Buddy Movie Version of himself.
