Lil Wayne Ad Libs The Only Funny Moment On A David Letterman Top 10 List In Years

Lil Wayne delivered the Late Show Top 10 list last night live via satellite. You never really realize how worn out and unfunny a comedic structure is until you get a half-literate madman to perform it for you. Just kidding, you totally realize how worn out and unfunny a comedic structure is when it hasn't changed in 500 years and makes Family Circus feel like cutting edge satire.

Hahaha. "Pause." Incredible. The man can't make it through a dumb list of terrible jokes without instinctively tossing out a quick nullus, and yet, this continues to exist without complaint. The man is like the black Chet.

But what if Letterman's audience really thought he found the Jonas Bros adorable? He couldn't just play that straight. (ooooh, an ironic pun!)

You've probably seen this but I'm fascinated by no homo and how did I never hear "pause" before today? That shit's years old already. Here's a reporter "pausing" FOR Mr. Spike Lee (in the reporter's defense, the actual pause was begging for some kind of verbal acknowledgment):

That Spike Lee interview was actually a pretty cute demonstration of usage. I hadn't heard of this "pause" for "no homo" either. It is actually still 1992 here in San Antonio.

i'm pretty sure that the point is that letterman had NOTHING to do with the humor of this sketch...

and Wayne was only funny because of his aversion to saying stupid pre-written shit on television - like a gag reflex...
