Don't Take Painkillers for Your Face, Stephen Colbert!
An email came in last night right after The Colbert Report:
"Did you see The Colbert Report tonight? Stephen is definitely on painkillers. He slurs his words several times, most noticeably in the intro."
Oh no! If you watch it with that in mind, Stephen does slur (twice) in this intro, and not the way he normally flubs a line or two. In a painkiller-y way:
It's just speculation, of course, but could he be taking prescribed painkillers for the damage done to his face in a rumored boating accident this weekend? As a country, we need Stephen to be in top form. Hopefully he'll downgrade to Advil soon. Painkillers are so Limbaugh-league.

I'm pretty sure if he just sustained an injury, being on painkillers is not a sign of addiction. And so what if he's taking painkillers for it? His face looked painful.
But I'm also pretty sure that that little mistake is not enough to make me think he must be on painkillers.

if you're gonna give me a headline like this, I demand a Jessica Savitch type breakdown.

Painkillers you think? I hope he's not taking them or drinking too much or taking valium he ordered off the internets from the Philipines for an excellent price that only takes a week to arrive. It could very well be stress or sleep deprivation or a side effect of another medication, or just the way he talks sometimes I hope! I've noticed it before, though, too.

i think so painkiller has no side effects but if we take it more then might be it has many side effects and its not a sign of addiction.so mostly avoid the painkillers if you don't control the pain then try to take it but not habitual to this so thanks to give this great and informative article i would appreciate to your efforts.

It would be a funny if Stephen would get in an addiction treatment center because of taking painkillers for his face. Would be silly, but funny!
