Who Does Brendan Fraser Think He Is? Someone Who Matters?

In an interview with MTV for his new movie Journey to the Center of Who Cares, Brendan Fraser was asked about his cameo in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie, and instead of being a human being about it, he gets very "where's my lawyer".

(via Film Drunk)

"Excuse me, this is the press junket for a movie no one cares about. I don't think it's very appropriate for you to ask me questions about something else no one cares about. I knew I should have sold some plasma and hired a publicist." It would be different if God was being interviewed about his new Book and the interviewer broke off to ask Him about why there's so much evil in the world, but Brendan Fraser needs to relax. I know he thinks the world is still reeling from his work in Bedazzled, but we're living in a post 9/11 world now. Bedazzled just doesn't have the same resonance it did when I can't keep this joke up any longer.

He's so quirky and fun. I can't wait to see all these movies at once. (Will pay movie theater to project them all simultaneously.)

I can see why they cast him in G.I. Joe - he sure is a loyal soldier!

Was he rude? Yeah, but know this, PRESS JUNKETS ARE HELL! Sitting in the same chair for god knows how long, answering the same questions over, and over, and over, and over, and, well, you get the idea ....... Yes, it is part of the actors' job, but the fact that they get tired and snippy sometimes is only human.

I agree!! Brendan is normally one of the most polite stars in Hollywood. (as stated by directors, reporters, interviewers, other actors, etc.). He's only human!! Give the guy a break!!

YYou have no idea what you are talking about. She broke the most important rule of junket interviews. You do not ask about another movie before you talk about the movie actor is promoting. They are under contractual obligation to first talk about the movie they made. MTV reporter was an idiot for not knowing that. I actually don't think he was rude to her.
