Hilarious, those two! Too bad Jimmy Fallon makes even great guests (and the viewing audience) endure his awkwardness... but on a brighter note, did everyone else get the Jason Bateman "I used to do a lot of Conan" ad after the interview?? awesome.

I think The Roots doing a cover of "Sports!" has completed my life.

they were great, but jimmy cannot interview to save his life. and he explained the jokes? but he couldn't even describe the show? and he couldn't get their names quite straight? the worst! also: tim and eric have the greatest art direction in comedy -- ever.

You took the words out of my figurative mouth. Seriously, why was Fallon explaining all the jokes?

I think it's b/c he knew he was out of his league. They had to break character just to reply to his attempts at set-ups.
"So you like cheesecake, not cheese steak"
Where was a producer to say "Fallon, shut the fuck up and let these guys work!"

In all fairness to Jimmy, most people watching probably had no idea who Tim and Eric are, and what they do is VERY hard to explain without sounding like an idiot.

Also, Tim doing that high-pitched yell/laugh is one of my favorite things. Second on the list is now The Roots covering "Sports"

Gah, watching Jimmy Fallon conduct an interview is like watching the Chris Farley Show minus the funny. "So you were in the Beatles? What was that like?" "So you have a character named Spaghet?"

Yea, this is somewhat bizarre. Does anyone else think Jimmy could do with some chemical help before the show to calm down?

saw eric's tweets leading up to the show, and enjoyed how psyched he was that the roots learned a T&E song for their entrance.

The audience should be happy that they didn't throw slices of pizza or hotdogs (like they normally do).

I don't see where the hostility toward Fallon is coming from. He tries to talk to them and they scream like chocolate fueled little kids. Without already knowing anything about Tim and Eric, I felt like he attacked the interview about as well as he could have. And I'm pretty psyched for Jaws 5.

The hostility comes from the fact that he's horrible. Just horrible.

between the roots playing "werewolf barmitzvah" & now "sports" i think they clearly deserve the best late night band award.

jimmy fallon is unwatchable yet somehow he's getting better ratings than conan. must be a lot of roots fans out there.

Wait...Conan isn't on yet, or do you mean when Conan started out? I think some of the ratings come from people who actually found Jimmy funny on SNL. Personally I just don't get it and I'm waiting until Conan comes back. I miss him.

Tim and Eric are super excellent, this I love this.
But, Jimmy Fallon... this is pretty much what would happen if you gave a 12 year old a talk show.

if you watched the Tom Brokaw interview to, Jimmy and Tom had this exchange.
Jimmy: "i can ride my hog all the way from maryland to california, hehe"
Tom (mockingish):"ride your hog."
Jimmy:"... like a motorcycle..."

why am i talking about that and not about Joe Pescapo??? Tim's hair ftw. (they also did an interview awhile ago- equally brilliant- on Spike Ferestein which is on Fox, where they promoted mini money to save money)
