Sully Is A Badass M-F

Captain Chesley "Sully" Sulzberger finally told his story on 60 Minutes last night, and turns out Kanye West has NOTHING on Sully in the confidence department. The difference is, Sully saved a bunch of people's lives. Watching this interview (which is worth the 11 minutes, I promise), you can't help but think this guy should have been famous all along:

I just hope six months from now the pressures of sudden fame haven't turned Sully into a coke-addled megalomaniac.

so this guy obviously mastered the near-impossible landing-sequence on the Top Gun game for old school NIntendo. where else does one get that kind of confidence?
also, does anyone else think katie couric here comes off looking sort of...simple? or something.

Is there any kind of award we can give to Katie Couric for asking the stupidest question ever? "Did you pray?" Yeah, right after he stopped off for a bathroom break, and a bag of chips from the food cart.

We should probably test this man's urine, as it totally has the cure for cancer. Has to.

God, Sully is amazing, but oooohh, Katie Couric *rolls eyes*
Btw, when did Katie start wearing her hair like
Mariska Hargitay?

Katie: "When did you realize (silly pause) these birds had hit the plane?"
Sully: "Well, you could hear them."

I'm thinking that Sully was shaking his head all the way out of the studio, wishing he could put Katie Couric in the Hudson.

"So you were going FAST, toward the EARTH". Holy shit. And the winner for most thought provoking commentary on a FUCKING PLANE CRASH ever...Miss Katie. That's why they pay her the big bucks.

Is it going to hurt my chances at finding true love if I now compare every man I meet to Sully?

You have to think that Katie Kouric is not asking simple questions for herself; there is a part of the audience that doesn't know every detail already.

Anyway let's not forget that Sullenberg is a clear demonstration that older people still are resourceful in every respect.

He's obviously awesome, but "what I still describe as 'burned bird smell'".

Oh, gotcha. That smell. Of course.
