Alec Baldwin Is A National Treasure

thumbnail icon: Alec Baldwin Is A National Treasure

Diane Sawyer interviewed Alec Baldwin on 20/20 Friday night, and though Alec wasn't quite as effusive as he was in his famous 60 Minutes interview last May, it was probably because he was promoting his new book about the serious subject of parental alienation, "a woman-on-man crime." But even while discussing his advocacy project, Alec is the same old unfiltered, lovable egomaniac. There is no better interview subject in the world than Alec Baldwin, because only Alec Baldwin says things like he hopes the lawyers and judges in his custody case "all die of heart attacks," and likens his case to "being tied to the back of a pickup truck and dragged down a dirt road." He also continues his tendency to point out when the cameramen laugh at his jokes. Man, I hope this guy never gets a publicist. Full interview after the jump.

Part 1: "Are you telling me you like hairy men?"

Part 2: "You think my daughter has TMZ on speed dial?":

I love that guy so much! Here's Alec last night, getting choked up when 30 Rock won the Emmy for Best Comedy Series:

Alec Baldwin = Superdad, and he'll punch you right in your dumb little face if you say different.

Yeah, I gotta side with Alex on this one. I think he's only as angry as the process would make a loving father... and everytime I hear a quote from Kim on the issue she always sounds vindictive.

Both him and Kim are batshit crazy for putting their kid through this long-running neverending vindictive process. And the truck comment..wow, what? Your divorce makes you feel like you're being put through a severely violent racist act? He's not angry enough to be completely insane to make this comment and get away with it.

Not even educated journalists could ever understand the unjustice that decent fathers go through in famialy law No one will ever know just how corupt the court system is till they go thru it them selves. They all further destroy your lives then meet afterwards to joke about it . Does anyone understand the bias against decent fathers by judges, gaurdian ad litam, and lawyers who all hang in the same circle. Guess who appoints gaurdian ad litam, their close friend the judge.

I am a victim of parental alienation, but I am a loving mother. This doesn't only happen to fathers! My ex-husband has turned my kids away from me one by one. He rewards them for disrespecting me. By the time each one turns 16, they claim to hate me, want nothing to do with me, and none of them can say why...a common trait of a severely alienated child. My youngest son, 14, is/will be affected the most. I understand Alec Baldwin's frustration with nowhere to turn.
