I have to disagree with you guys. I think those MTV VJs were spot-on, albeit in a shrill and hack-y manner. Right now we're at a time when people all over the country are losing their jobs everyday and this girl who's not particularly attractive, talented, or charismatic lands an incredible opportunity that she was, by no means, entitled to and she acts like she somehow was. The Kristen Stewarts out there are a dime a dozen (just go to any Olive Garden in Los Angeles) and while her unintimidating prescence in Twilight may have been appropriate for the movie (chunky girls in corsets need SOMEONE to relate to) Kristen Stewart has little hope for career longevity. So if she's so focused on her craft and doesn't want to indulge the necessary evils of a press push, then she should go back to doing NYU student art films and stop taking and the cash and signing onto big-budgeted silver screen adaptations of worldwide bestsellers and the follow-up film to Superbad.

I'm pretty sure when celebrities do press conferences and interviews to promote movies, most of the time, they're traveling across North America, all jet-lagged and homesick. It's hard to be friendly and charming when you're exhausted and don't want to be there. Although I hate Twilight, and Kirsten Stewart, I don't think it's fair we judge a celebrity's personality based on how they appear in interviews and in front of the press. It isn't really fair

My opinions on Kristen Stewart:
1)She's very young. She seems a little immature,
2) Twilight is huge. Pre-teens scream at you and possibly bite at one another. I think that would be overwhelming
3) Promoting this thing probably means she hasn't slept much for weeks.
4) She seems kind of smart in a precocious kind of way. She may recognize the idiocy of MTV. In which case rock on.
