Free Advertising: Take 5's "Little Bit Of Luck" Is Weird, Creepy, And Mad Talented, Son

If you live in New York, then you've been seeing a lot of this guy:

He's the new homunculoid spokesperson for the New York Lottery, "Little Bit of Luck." He's on subway posters, phone booths, and also TV.

Gross and weird, right? Well, what if I told you that "Little Bit of Luck" was a perfect example of how little you know about most of the people you see on television or in the movies.

See, "Little Bit of Luck" is actually comedian Brett Gelman, one half (along with Jon Daly) of the outstanding rap comedy duo, Cracked Out, as well as a member of Death By Roo Roo, one of the best improv troupes of all time (yes yes, improv sucks, how hard could it be to be the best improv troupe of all time? hard enough, relax.)

It just makes you wonder what all the other half-noticed background players you don't register or think about are up to in their spare time. Like, maybe this guy is a fucking poet laureate, we don't even knowreate it:

Lesson learned: pay attention. Don't judge. You ain't know.

POSTSCRIPT: Brett Gelman has been the spokesperson for many corporations, not just the New York Lotto. Perhaps you have seen some of his previous campaigns:

The Videogum Movie Club: 2012
