The Billy Mays Versus Vince Offer Feud Is Going To Tear The Infomercial Community Apart

I haven't seen Death To Smoochy, and I know it's supposed to be bad, but if Death To Smoochy, a movie about feuding children's show mascots, can be greenlighted, then the MASSIVE FEUD brewing between classic infomercial guy Billy Mays and young, weird upstart (and blog darling) Vince Offer has all the makings of great comedy. Here's the audio of Billy Mays going OFF on Vince on Adam Carolla's show yesterday:

"Zorbeez!" The fact that anyone, anywhere is in an argument that can be summed up with the sentence "You stole the idea for Shamwow from my Zorbeez!" is just ridiculous. The guy who made The King Of Kong should do these guys next.

Billy Mays and Vince Offer should compete over who can better advertise the Snuggie.

I like that Billy Mays seems to think he invented his products. You're a spokesperson, dude. you do not hold the patent on Zorbeez. You're also not the only person who's thought of a Slap Chop. I have one from Tupperware that works just fine.

Billy Mays starts a Fake Rap at the end, Vince wins by default.

Do these guys really come up with these products on their own?

These two better watch their backs. Ron Popeil is gonna come down and out-pitch both their asses.

someone needs to do a new bill mays infomercial re-dub with "Billy Mays Doesn't Take This" "Lets do this buddy, lets go!" and that urgent exasperated "I'M BILLY MAYS" followed by sobbing

The guy who did King of Kong needs to get on this right NOW. Anything's better than his last film, Four Christmases. I mean, seriously, what the fuck?

This long awaited showdown will never take place due to Billy Mays' untimely death on June 28, 2009. Too bad because it would have been an interesting contrast in styles.
