John Voight Is Crazy.

thumbnail icon: John Voight Is Crazy.

Well, it seems that Angelina Jolie might be onto something with that whole not speaking to her father thing. John Voight gave a speech at a dinner in DC last night and said a bunch of really weird extreme things about Barack Obama that didn't even make sense, like (emphasis mine): "Every thing Obama has recommended has turned out to be disastrous. Obama really thinks he's going to bring all the enemies of the world into a little playground where they'll swing each other back and forth. Let's bring an end to this false prophet, Obama." Bring an END? I don't care what your politics are, this dude sounds like your average lunatic in the park.

Hey Republicans: That's Your Celebrity.

A selected filmography from Jon Voight's 2000's: Four Christmases, An American Carol, National Treasure: Book of Sucrets, Bratz, Transformers, Super Babies: Baby Geniuses 2. I'd probably be pretty fucking batshit, too.

What's with the "soft spoken" stuff? Is that some sort of euphemism for "big pansy" that I'm not aware of?

Every time someone is accused of being a "false prophet", I think of There Will Be Blood. Jon Voight is essentially the Daniel Plainview of Hollywood. Sooner or later, you know he's gonna crack and bludgeon someone to death with a bowling pin.

Because there's some kind of long history of Hollywood folks giving good political analysis? It's the right wing Sean Penn. Crazy is crazy no matter what color you paint it.

Where were all of you when Sean Penn was spouting his craziness? I don't know, it's really not that surprising. Sean Penn, Clooney, and the whole gang from Hollywood have been talking nonsensical politics for years.

If 'we alone were liberators of the whole world' why are North Korea, Myanmar, China & way too many countries in the Middle East & Africa under the rule of oppressive & totalitarian regimes? Oh & remember those murderous dictators we've helped to power all over the world?

Takes us back to the old days, Jon!
