Janeane Garofalo Ambushes Bill O'Reilly's Ambusher
Usually when Bill O'Reilly sends his goon out to "ambush" someone, that person doesn't completely turn the situation around into an opportunity to quickly and succinctly get his or her own reasonable point of view across (along with a zing), but that's what Janeane Garofalo did last night . This almost makes me forget Janeane's rough "not totally dismissing Scientology" period:

I seem to recall the Democrats having held the majority in both chambers of Congress for the past two years with an additional two in the Senate from Bush's first term. Lest we forget those stellar 14% approval ratings from last year.
No, conservatives weren't out marching over deficit spending... mainly because the streets were already too crowded with anti-Bush protesters... but they weren't exactly ignoring it either.
Many stalwart conservatives such as Michelle Malkin, George Will and Charles Krauthammer have hammered Republicans for years over their complicity in pork barrel spending as well as the more recent stimulus & bailout plans.
The entire point of these tea party protests was to say, enough is enough. We're tired of all the taxes, spending, deficits, pork, and lying liars on BOTH sides of the aisle. Here in Los Angeles, I saw plenty of signs taking Arnold and the CAGOP to task for helping run our state into the ground.
