Ann Coulter No Match For The Superior Intellect Of The Ladies Of The View
This morning I switched on (yes, "switched on." I'm 80 and I like to "look at television" in the morning) The View just in time to hear the announcer-guy introduce today's guest, Ann Coulter, with these exact words:
"Ann Coulter will tell you why she thinks single moms are raising strippers and rapists...and why the media wants to 'have sex' with Obama."
So, I kind of had to tune in, and I wasn't disappointed. The ladies of The View aren't a smart bunch, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. This clip is 8 minutes, but time flies when you're watching Ann Coulter suffer.

Ann Coulter's comments are right on the money. The problem is that people ignore her reseach and statistics and focus on her delivery. I think some on The View, as Joy Behar, are so bitter and full of hate toward people who don't think like them that it clouds their reasoning. Some may dislike Ann Coulter's message, but to attack her personally is beyond classless. Only those who cannot think critically use this tactic. Unfortunately, most are young or a product of the rebellious 60s and 70s, the decades when traditional morals were discarded as antiquated. Morality, personal responsibility, and doing the right thing used to be how most people lived their lives, and we were much better for it. Our illegitimacy rates were lower, juvenile crime was lower, more families were intact, which is better for children. Ann Coulter brings out the fact that movie stars are having babies without fathers; men are simply sperm donors. And it is true that our prisons are filled with young men who grew up without a father. Women need to start making better choices in the men they pick to have sex with, and preferably wait for the stability of marriage before bringing a new life into this world. Ann Coulter is the only one with the courage to publish politically incorrect books based on her research. I wish people would debate her on the issues, and not on her personality.

While her statistics may be correct, she uses her facts as an unfounded attack against the more liberal people. I won't argue with the fact that a high percentage of criminals come from single-parent homes, if what she said was true. However, she builds up a completely false argument against people whom she considers Liberal. She acts as if anyone with a "conservative" label is Jesus and anyone with a "liberal" label is trying to destroy the country. She is not classy. She says outrageously offensive things like calling John Edwards a fag and was unbelievably insensitive and downright nasty to the widows of 9/11 victims. My comments of 1/13 got a response from "y" and "Liz." They both attacked me personally. "Y" hopes she never meets me because I happen to like Ann Coulter. "Liz" cusses easily and is very disrespectful to a complete stranger. Cussing is for people who don't have the capability to articulate what they have to say, and lack the vocabulary. It is also very rude. While Ann Coulter may say things in an outrageous way, (she is a satirist, after all), she still gets her point across. However, her descriptions of liberals in her books pale in comparison with what liberals call conservatives. I don't agree that Ann Coulter "builds up a completely false argument against liberals." She lays out her facts in her books to back up her statements. I have to agree with her that liberals in government have done much to contribute to the breakdown of the family, and when you don't have strong families, society will decay from within because families are the backbone of a society. I do know that there are single mothers who did not choose to raise their children alone, but it still comes back to the men they chose to have children with, whether they married them or not. If a man is irresponsible, selfish, violent, lazy, etc., what makes women think having a child with such a man would suddenly change him into this wonderful, caring man who will provide and be involved in raising their children? Short of a miracle, this will never happen. Children deserve two mature, caring, loving parents who can raise them to be good and decent contributing members of society. Love is not enough.

Young liberals are so full of contempt and frustration after 8 years of what they consider our nation's worst years, and it's really difficult to "come out" as a conservative-- in fact, most of my peers consider it a mental disability to frame my opinions around a classical world-view.
Evidently it's legitimate for liberals to believe that gay marriage is a-okay; it's necessary to ensure a woman's "choice" to kill her unborn child, and it's morally sound, progressive even, to attempt to redistribute wealth. But when conservatives oppose these movements in an academic setting, they're viewed as Neanderthals, their individual voices muted by the angry voice of the liberal masses-- so where do they turn? Well, if you're Ann Coulter, "The View" is a pretty sweet deal-- you can communicate to people much more open minded than you ever would through publications or editorials.

The problem is not neccessarily the decline of the traditional family, but the unfairness when it comes to wages, opportunities, etc. If women would earn as much as men, wouldn't be discriminated against because they could one day have to stay home with a sick child, or had better daycare, heck, maybe even at-work-daycare (what a noble idea that is!) many of the problems that Ann laments could become obsolete. First, Ann Coulter is crazy. But if some of you would take the time to look at the statistics which she bases your opinion on, you would notice that the Majority of single mothers have serious problems with rasing children in a decent way, and keeping their children in line. Ann Coulter, although annoying, brings up a topic that everyone in America needs to talk about. I watched Barbara-wa-wa's interviews of the Top Ten Most Influential People in 2008, and what I witnessed astounded me. I compared 2 interviews: Rush Limbaugh's and President Elect Obama's, and they were night and day. The latter interview was congenial, nice, pleasant, understanding, whereas the former interview was critical, awkward, biting, unpleasant. Now the biggest difference b/w Limbaugh and Obama is their political views; one is a Conservative and the other is a Liberal. The reality is that the Media hates Conservatives and loves Liberals, hence the debacle on the View. Did Ann even get to defend herself completely one time? It was like watching a pack of hyenas gang up on a lioness. Boy, I sure dislike hyenas.

Anne Coulter, Pat Robertson, and their supporters, they aren't true Christians and they don't follow God. They are hatemongers. All they did was find an outlet where they could justify their hate.
