ABC's Charlie Gibson Reports On The Room!

thumbnail icon: ABC's Charlie Gibson Reports On The Room!

If you had told me a year ago that Charles Gibson would be reporting on the Amazing Cult Phenomenon That Is The Room, I would have said "Nahhh." But in yesterday's World News Webcast, he did just that! The Room is now THAT huge! Also, if you've been trying to ignore The Room, this report explains the movie and the cult around it pretty well. And do not miss the SECRET SURPRISE at the end, when one of Videogum's favorite actors talks about discovering The Room.

The Room is screening tonight in New York, and all around the country this summer (seriously: even small towns!). Resistance is clearly futile. Your Mom has probably already taken a football and plastic spoons to a screening at this point. The Room is taking over the world.

I can't think of a more enjoyable way to start this beautiful Friday morning than with a coffee and this gem of a post...

It's not exactly a SECRET SURPRISE when you put his name first in tags.

Tagging supercedes spoiling surprises. It's a journalistic integrity thing, right?

Do have HAVE to be white to see The Room? In all the video/pictures I've seen about this movie, every single person at the theater is white. TEAR DOWN THESE WALLS, THE ROOM: THE MOVIE!!!

Also, what's this about a sequel? I mean, let sleeping terrible-funny movies lie, right? If this does indeed happen, someone needs to convey to Tommy the importance of making the sequal with as much earnestness as the first. I have this vision of The Room 2 that tries to be intentionally unintentionally funny, and friends, that shit ain't funny at all.

If he does indeed sequel this up, he needs to embrace the lunacy and give himself license to totally go apeshit.

Meaning, it needs to be in space, or the old west, or have dinosaurs or some shit.

I missed the Austin screening last weekend so I went on a scotch and vodka bender instead.
