Hugh Laurie's 1980's Polaroid Commercial

Recent SNL host Hugh Laurie has been famous in the UK for a long time, but I think this Polaroid commercial is much funnier if you imagine/assume that he was just some guy when it was made. I never realized this combination of skills would be necessary, but if you need someone to play a confused moron who is also irritated and also kind of an asshole, Hugh Laurie is your guy:

He definitely brings the irritated asshole part to his role on House.

did you know hugh laurie has a little computer inside? just press the button and you get sarcastic, world-weary characterization! he does, however, require supplemental lighting.

Calliwell

I loved him in Black Adder. I don't care if that makes me lose street cred.

In order to allow you to keep your street cred, Calliwell, I am going to let the world know I thought fucking loved him in Sense and Sensibility. You're welcome.

Of course it doesn't make you lose street cred. I've yet to see a single episode of House, partially just so I can tell all the idiots I meet who love him because of it that I loved him BEFORE it. Black Adder is some of his best work.
