Bill Gates And Jerry Seinfeld Go To Shoe Circus
Gabe probably doesn't think it's funny, but the first of the Microsoft ads starring Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld and presumably directed by Michel Gondry aired last night. It's one of those little short film vignette commercials that seem to have nothing to do with the product being advertised. I think it's funny:
It's as if Michel Gondry directed part of a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode.

Ugh. Painfully unfunny.

I mean "funny for a commercial."

I was expecting more stop-animation for a Gondry-joint...

i think it's pretty funny but i like low-level absurdism. (i don't hate they might be giants). also, i think that people who use macs generally don't know how to do long division (sorry all readers of video/stereogum), so i'm pro-this.

I like it. Best part was Gates saying, "Leather," for some reason.

I don't even own a computer. This wasn't funny at all.

I thought the ad was incredibly unfunny. Amazingly, all they had to do was add one little sound effect to transform it into a very funny ad (though still stupid) ad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSQMg3gc1r4
Frankly, I suspect this ad may be a sign that Bill Gates is going Michael Jackson on us. Has he (Gates) been examined by a competent psychiatrist lately?

Michel Gondry had nothing to do with this ad. It was directed by Bryan Buckley.
