How Did I Miss Amy Sedaris Being The Spokesvoice For Supercuts?

thumbnail icon: How Did I Miss Amy Sedaris Being The Spokesvoice For Supercuts?

I went to re-watch Reza Aslan's Daily Show interview from last night on their site just now (because he's so dreamy!) and was greeted by this pre-roll commercial for Supercuts with a very familiar narrator who is obviously not trying to sound like anyone else but herself. It turns out Amy's been doing these for almost a year, yet it's gone virtually unnoticed (and un-blogged, even!) for all those eons of internet-time. Good for Amy:

Adorable! Also, you should really check out Reza Aslan's interview with Jon about Iran. It's hopeful, and he's the best (cutest) person to explain the whole thing.

Word on Reza. He is so my future husband. I sincerely believe his role in discussing Iran, the Muslim world, America, etc is totally invaluable and he knows his shit. AND he's funny doing it. Plus. Dreamy. Thanks for the link!

Why is no one taking action on this save Lindsay business?

I don't understand. Where does it even officially say that she's leaving?

WHAT
I totally thought it was just an amazingly successful prank that someone pulled. All just leaving a comment or two under different anonymous aliases that she was leaving videogum, and everyone sort of picked up on that as the truth.
But it turns out, i just couldn't handle the truth. :-(

I KNEW IT!!! But then, I didn't think it was probable, so I dismissed it and forgot about it. Great sleuthing Lindsay! Don't leave us :(

Now, I wouldn't think that I was the only one who knew she was in a little show called "Strangers With Candy," which is both brilliant and heartwarming (she may be doing the wrong things, but at least she's doing them the right way, ya know?). But I bet no one else noticed that it has...wait for it...Stephen Quincy Colbert on it. As in the Report. The very same! Blows your mind right? When I figured it out, I know i blue myself.

I've been hearing those commercials for months now and I just realized it was Amy Sedaris. It gives me a whole new respect for Supercuts.
