I'm not neccesarily mourning over Billy Mays loss, but I absolutely cannot STAND Vince Offer (aka the Shamwow guy) and I know that people are going to make him the new "pitchguy". Billy Mays at least had some class.

You shut your whore mouth when Billy Mays was talking. It was that simple. May he forever shout in the heavens above us.

When you type "true blood billy mays" into google this page is the only thing that shows up. Breakin' new ground, you guys!

But also, thinking of Billy Mays reminds me of those fantastic parodies that youtuber 'jaboody' did.
I don't know. You're right Gabe, Talking about Billy Mays is hard. I nedd to gather my thoughts but there's definitely something here.

That's how my sister and I memorialized him. "Someone's eating spaghetti in the shower again." R.I.P. Billy Mays.

I need to say that I'm genuinely sad with the death of Billy Mays today. I've thought of this in the context of two dynamics.

1. He was on the cusp of being a real pop culture icon (and at 50?)

-Billy Mays has been busting his ass for over a decade now and seemed to be taking on a role often played by Chuck Norris, Adam West, or William Shatner. To make it sadder, it wasn't like he hated this role, often embracing it and parodying himself (I saw a Leno once when he was using his selling voice and reciting Hamlet)

2. He (to me) legitimized a really stupid business.

-Within the last two months I started watching "Pitchmen", which happens to be great television. It really demonstrates how dedicated he and Anthony Sullivan are to really trying to show how serious they take their work. It's not a game, it's an actual process that requires a borderline Ph.D. in marketing, and they fucking know how to do it.

But it all is just kinda gone, leaving so much potential, and I think it makes this death more sad than any other as of recent.

So what are you saying, Mark? Are you saying that his death is sadder than most occurring now?

Yes, that is EXACTLY what I'm fucking saying. Billy Mays is the Jeff Buckley of recent celebrity deaths.

Rest in peace, Billy Mays. I certainly will miss you.

What is it about True Blood? That show is a serious train wreck of a train wreck, and yet when it is on the television I keep wanting to watch more of it despite how shitty it is. It's like crystal meth for my eyes; swelling and bulging at the sight of the worst acting and most threadbare characters on television.

Really sad about Billy Mays, just last week he was on Conan with Anthony Sullivan promoting their show Pitchmen. It was a great interview, very fun and he was a great entertainer/salesman.

Now on to True Blood, for those who watched and happened to catch Hung after, what is up with the Nintendo Wii product placement? Did HBO make some sort of deal with Nintendo? On Hung it wasn't so obvious, but Vampire Bill owns a Wii and the young vampire Jessica doesn't know what it is? I was curious about the last shot of Daphne's back. Finanlly, who does Tru Blood think it is, taking a break after only three episodes?

Having just become aware of Billy Mays last Thursday (it's not my fault, I live in Europe!), I was actually kinda sad to hear the news about his death. He disappeared before I got to appreciate him.

And if you'd watched last night's True Blood, I'm pretty sure the entire recap would've been just one word: NO.

I liked Hung, but what was with Thomas Jane's occasional "sitcom" acting? I felt like when he "parents" his "kids" he is "phoning it in" or "channeling Major Dad".

The only way True Blood could get any better (worse!) would be if they introduced Tyrese as Lafayette's long lost brother!

There is a new monster and its poison forces Anna Paquin to add screams and yowls to her repertoire of Suuthahn Accaint-speak. Also, Jason Brick-House does not appear without his pants on anywhere in the episode. GRADE: C-
