10 Chick Flick Cliches You Won't Find In He's Just Not That Into You Is Actually Kind Of Funny

thumbnail icon: 10 Chick Flick Cliches You Won't Find In He's Just Not That Into You Is Actually Kind Of Funny

This is a video in which Justin Long, Bradley Cooper, and Kevin Connolly try to convince dudes to see their movie He's Just Not That Into You by acting out the chick flick cliches that the movie does not contain. I'm not really sure why I actually watched it, but I'm glad I did, because besides having SEVERAL funny parts (after a slow start), it's cemented my theory that Justin Long can make anything funny, and Kevin Connolly can make anything uncomfortable. I don't think this is actually going to convince any dudes to see this movie, but as an online-only movie promo video, it should win all the awards for those:

Why do they keep saying "It's just a movie. Don't be scared."? I don't think guys are going to be avoiding this movie in droves out of fear of cliches. (I, on the other hand, will be hate-watching it on OPENING NIGHT.)

Does Kevin Connolly remind anyone else of Rob Blagojevich minus the hair?

Gabe and Amelie Gillette should get married and have a hate baby.

I mean that affectionately?

How has Gabe not torn this promo apart yet!? Talk about stimulating commentary on the state of modern hetero/homosexuality!

If the last cliche was that Kevin Connolly wasn't in it I would go see it.

I'm just going to watch Justin Long in the special features of Zack & Miri Make A Porno again instead of seeing this movie...

Kevin Connolly sucks ass, as this movie no doubt, also sucks ass.

Okay, that actually was funny. But I still think this movie should carry a warning label for Kevin Connolly content.

I love it!!! Because it is so true... because although these guys exaggerate chick flicks and girls acting like girls, these cliches do exist! And that’s why the movie is awesome too, because Kevin Connolly’s character in the movie would be usually played by a female. Wanting a serious, committed relationship and not just friends with benefits is known to be totally a girl’s thing, but this movie breaks that stereotype by having Kevin play that role.

And bravo Joe H for bringing up such a good point! Why don’t women make fun of guy movies? Why is it that romantic/romantic comedies are only supposed to be watched by women but action-filled movies are supposed to be watched by both genders? Thanks to this video for making it a little easier on guys to do what is considered as “girly”.
