Joaquin Phoenix Is Just Calling To Say He's Never Calling Again

This week there was news that Joaquin Phoenix quit acting, and everyone said "It's a stunt!" and we said "There's not a weird video of it yet, who cares?" But now there is. Here is the weird video of Joaquin Phoenix giving Extra an "exclusive" and saying he's quitting acting:

The best part is the pullout showing Casey Affleck's face. Like, we didn't even know Casey Affleck was there. Hey, it's Casey Affleck! Anyway, that was that: Leaf is on drugs or something, Max in space, etc. (Via GoldenFiddle.)

"Why are you laughing?" Good on you, Joaquin - that guy interviewing him always comes across as a blowhard.

What he meant to say: "Me and my friends have been been too busy bathing off the southern coast of St. Barts with spider monkeys for the past two weeks. Tripping on acid changed our whole perspective on shit."

I can't help but think of Ross on Friends and his "Music"

Speaking of Ross and his "music," whenever I watch that episode nowadays, his music doesn't seem to be that weird or out there. I mean it's weird, but nowadays, so many bands sample weird noises to make songs that I just think that that episode was probably a lot more funny in the 90's. Sorry, random thought...

I dunno, I'd probably start giggling if I was Jason Kennedy, too. Giggling that I just got such a retarded exclusive for Extra. I smell a promotion!

Also, Joaquin Phoenix is undeservedly pretentious. Just, FYI.

i believe joaquin phoenix has been to rehab at least once, but it certainly appears he's still using something because whoa.
also, casey affleck is married to joaquin phoenix's sister, which might explain why they're together.
