Happy Birthday, Al.

Here's to 54 years of fake laughter, pandering likeability, calculated mediocrity, non-threatening blandness, and false geniality.

You did it!

Well, I actually like Al Roker.
There's a lot to be said for jovial, friendly blandness. (That would actually be a HUGE improvement for some...)
Happy Birthday, Al!

Al, over the past few years, we have come to rely on you to represent total childlike lack of self-control. From the fact that you had to have your stomach stapled, to the fact that you cannot say the word “Sunday” without doing the monster truck show thing, you have demonstrated how a seemingly innocuous likeability can invite so much violence. xoxo

Happy birthday, us. Let's not forget Isaac Hayes (RIP crazy man), Benjamin Harrison (President Who?), KRS-ONE (looks homeless now), Connie Chung (Maury Povich? Really?), Robert Plant (weakest link in Led Zep). To prove that we really are the worst, two words, my August 20 friends: Fred Durst.

The Videogum Movie Club: 2012

Uh. OK. Well, first let's address what this movie did well, like the disappointed parents we are (or at least that I am), recognizing that the negative feedback won't be useful or constructive if it isn't preceded by something positive....
