Diddy Is Going To Be On CSI: Miami Tonight, Son!

If you watched the Grammys last night, then you saw a bunch of promos for tonight's episode of CSI: Miami featuring Diddy. CBS has generously (so so generous, like Henry Sugar those guys) put a clip on-line for us to all get so excited about it's ridiculous.

Oh man. A lawyer. Perfect. This is going to be even better than in Chain Reaction when we knew that Keanu Reeves was a genius because he was wearing a Harvard sweatshirt. "A Harvard sweatshirt? They don't just sell those to anyone who happens to be at any store in Cambridge and probably local gas stations or also on the internet. You have to show your Genius Permit and at least one groundbreaking, revolutionary-technology patent in your name." They should give him a gavel. I know that lawyers don't actually walk around with gavels, but I also know that if Diddy was a lawyer he probably would. ORDER IN THE COURT! ORDER IN THE PRIVATE JET! ORDER IN THE HOT TUB!

I'm calling a recess on this post, and we'll meet back here tomorrow to debrief.

I like when lawyers say "I know the law".

That is all.

Anyone else love the full 33 seconds of dramatic silence as much as I did?
Where's the dramatic sunglasses removal?

I'm not convinced that Redhead and Diddy were in the same room at any point during this filming. Maybe its a testament to Diddy's acting, but it seems like his scenes were shot in front of a green screen and also in a place where high-powered lawyers don't care enough to refine their speaking habits. Enunciation, Diddy! Diction!

You know, I saw Diddy on Broadway in A Raisin in the Sun, and he was surprisingly decent. But the second he appeared in that scene, I started laughing hysterically. Maybe because he's more believable as a financially irresponsible husband than a slick city lawyer.
