Suddenly Huge Again: The Britney's Real Singing Voice Video

There's no accounting for the sudden, inexplicable resurgence of this video of Britney Spears's real vocals isolated from her Las Vegas concert special, other than it being August. So fine, we'll jump on that bandwagon. If you haven't seen it, it's new to you, and it's probably still one of the most entertaining things happening on the internet this week:

It is pretty amazing.

The internet gives and the internet withholds.
I want to know where the bad parody videos of this video are. If I know youtubers, I know that one thing they love to do is parody things that need no parody.
The internet gets on off on being withholding.

I don't believe that she even uses real microphones. Why bother, doesn't she just lip synch it all anyway?

sure, she can't sing, but how about that plastic cowboy hat for rainy days? nothing says CLASS like a plastic cowboy hat, especially for those days you just don't want to throw on that same old rain poncho! BUY IT!

i think she can do a decent job even while running and jumping and dancing around but at this point it seems exceptionally clear she's not even trying..i wouldn't. paycheck!

what's funny is she sounds exactly like the sorority girls who think they are good and try out on american idol.

maybe that's what they mean when they tell simon that they sound like britney spears.

No big deal. I've worked as a professional singer, and there's a big difference between actually singing and making just enough sound to lip sync realistically.

See, when you lip sync, if you don't actually make any noise, it's obvious that you're not singing, because your throat doesn't move. If you make even a little noise, basically just half-speak the words, your throat moves enough that it looks like you're singing.

She's not _trying_ to sing here, because nobody (supposedly, anyway) is going to hear what she's doing, so it doesn't matter. She's concentrating on how she moves and looks, not how she sounds. IF she were live mic'ed she would really sing -- and even if she doesn't sound like the album , she would be a hell of a lot better than that.

They can do a lot in a studio to make you sound better than you are, but don't imagine for a moment that what you hear on this video is even close to what she's capable of.

In fact, if she really belted it out every night she would probably do some damage.

I gotta side with Stephen on this one. Beyonce and JT probably sound just as bad.

Without a pro tools digital tuner, and 3 layered vocals from female Studio Singers blended into her solo track [and making up about 90% of her vocal track] BSpears sounds a lot like this. However the gentleman is right, she's better than you're hearing on this video. Just not much... I know of 4 female singers who can walk up and sing live and tear the place up. Celine, Mandy Moore [believe it or not], Christina A. [all day long] and Mariah. Everybody else you see live, would be in deep trouble if their layered tracks dropped out. Trust me, I've done Stadium Sound for 25 years, I've seen it all. Brittany was a cute 15 year old they built videos around not a singer.

people are making something out of nothing. first of all the pitch correction software Autotune is used by many singers..and it even works live. singers like garth brooks and faith hill have admitted to using it live to guarantee their performances. Obviously she's not using anything, let alone autotune because shes only making enough noise to make her lip syncing more convincing. you hear her breathing hard because running around on stage really screws up your ability to sing.
