Chuck Bass Has A Band

They're called The Filthy Youth. They sound like the Libertines. Here they are playing a song called "The Confidence" (via GoldenFiddle):

I really hope they work this into an episode. Like, Serena runs into The Box to use the bathroom because she drank four Vos waters and a dozen mochitinis at dinner at Matsugen and as she's leaving the bathroom, wiping coke from her nose with the back of her trembling hand, she sees Chuck performing on stage as Charlie Trout and the Fishermen. He demands that she never tell anyone because he's so invested in the band that sometimes they even play gigs in Brooklyn, how embarrassing. She promises not to say a word, but lets him know that now she has something she can hold over him, and that one day she's going to come to collect on this favor, no questions asked. Sample dialog:

SERENA
But why do you sing in a British accent?

CHUCK
If you think that's British, you have no idea what you're in for.

Just send me the low to high millions at your earliest convenience, Hollywood.

I've know about this band for a while. It's ok. But it's British so people in the USA think it's 256% better because they have different plugs for electrical equipment or something. Oh and becaue he's Chuck Bass.

My roommate is in love with this band and every time she plays one of their songs I think it's The Libertines. Or Babyshambles, to be fair to the current Pete Doherty-fronted band. It kinda sounds like them too.

Psh, Gabe, any REAL gossip girl devotee would have heard about the filthy youth YEARS ago. You get an F- in gossip girl cast stalking.

Their songs have been used in episodes. Ha ha, "Charlie Trout" tag.

Bored British kids and their power chords.
