A Future Worst Movie Nominee Begins Shooting

thumbnail icon: A Future Worst Movie Nominee Begins Shooting

There have been rumors circulating on the internet for awhile now, if an updated Wikipedia page can count as a rumor, that shooting had begun on the much-anticipated sequel to Boondock Saints, Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day. No longer just a rumor! Not only has "primary photography" begun (how much industry vocabulary do you need to know before they make you king and president of that industry?), but Troy Duffy has started putting production vlogs up on YouTube! (Thanks for the tip, Jeff, and others). It's like going to a garbage factory to see how garbage is made!

Cryptic evidence for the superfans after the jump.

"Today we're at full fuckin' Boondock." Oh boy.

But you know what? My apologies to Troy Duffy for that garbage factory remark. We're all just trying to make it through the day, and we can make as much fun of Boondock Saints as we want (we want to make a lot of fun), but Duffy's still the one out there (there=Toronto) doing it, right? He's the one behind the expensive monitors yelling "print!" (Am I in charge yet?) And this is a triumphant return for him to the garbage world he worked so hard (maybe not that hard) to establish in the first movie. So good for him. Seriously. Congratulations, Troy Duffy, on your hard earned return to the director's chair.

But if the sequel is anything like the original, I am going to tear that thing apart. Auughhhhh, it's going to be a FIREFIGHT.

Boondock Saints is one of my all-time favorite movies, and everyone I've ever talked to that has seen it has absolutly loved it. Tear it apart all you like, but you got to at least give it credit because as terrible as some people may think it is, it still has tons of people that love it, the same of which cannot be said about Spanglish or Gigli.

"Auughhhhh, it's going to be a FIREFIGHT "- It's funny in the original and it's funny in your mockery...

I can't wait for them to make this movie- LONG LIVE THE AWEFULNESS THAT IS THE BOONDOCK SAINTS...- I really don't think the first one or this one is meant to be taken seriously. Maybe the director takes himself seriously (which is funny in itself) but I know that I do not like the movie because I think it has something rich and poignant to say.

It's just so absurd that it's great. Kinda Like, Evil Dead - maybe Boondock Saints Dos, will be like Army of Darkness. I mean, come on! The title alone is impressive in it's silliness.

Are you people retarded...This movie is not only awesome it is possible. The person who called it absurd and compared it to trash like Evil Dead and Army of Darkness has more than likely never seen or met someone so disgusted by whats going on around them that they take the law into their own hands. I guess you just can't wrap your mind around a something that is a film rather than a movie, something that requires actual thought and depth of character. This movie has a huge following and Fan base not just in the Irish community but around the world. BOONDOCK SAINTS FOREVER!!!
