Box Cat: Origins

Somehow I missed this until a tipster just sent it with that perfect title. Everything you need to know about Maru, the "Box Cat," in one video. Because Maru isn't just about boxes, he's also about being a "lazybones":

The amusingly translated title cards ("Boy of Scottish fold") are almost as adorable as the puffy-faced cat himself. (Thanks for the tip, Emily!)

That was amazing. I wish there was some kind of international cat exchange program, so that I can borrow Maru for a while.

This cat's a natural. Somebody get him his own show. And not some second-rate Animal Planet shit, either. I'm talking prime time.

Why can't my cat be you, Maru? She is nothing but a disappointment to me now.

Maru is an unusuall looking cat. He looks just like all the cats in Anime. I wish I had Maru.

That video read my mind -- I actually said "a little jocular" aloud with that title as it appeared.

This is like the LOTR of Box Cat videos, and it's spectacular.

I hate cats, but I love Maru. Can we just clone Maru for everyone to enjoy? The world has found its ultimate cat.

I give my wholehearted approval to this cloning thing. I want a Maru!
