my cat does that except his slams himself right down on my chest and purrs like thunder. it wakes me up everytime.

I diagnose this guy with sleep apnea. I'm not a doctor, but I play one in the comments section here and on internet medical bulletin boards. Cause I don't think it was just the cat and I'm genuinely concerned about him.
