Orangina: "Our Name Isn't Gross Enough On Its Own"

I think I saw this Orangina commercial last year but blocked it out until tipster Sara sent it to us just now after seeing it in the UK, where it is only shown after 9pm, apparently, even though there is no hour of the night late enough for inter-species mating rituals. Gross:

Do you know how many people it takes to make a commercial? I don't either, but I bet it's a lot, and it's unbelievable that not one of those lots of people was capable of tapping the director on the shoulder and saying "Ew, dude. Ew." (Apparently, the commercial is getting complaints and might be banned.)

Ew. Methinks that the director/producer/designers all have a "Furries" fetish. you know that there are dudes out there rubbing one out over this...

This ad was done by a prominent visual effects company called "The Mill." They put a behind-the-scenes thing together (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G_6bho7emw) and it's mind-boggling how much time and people went into making it. I guess they were all so happy to be doing work that they didn't realize how creepy the commercial was going to be.

I'm going to get to work on pushing that way back to the far corners of my mind where it belongs.

This is almost as bad as the banner ad you have on your blog right now for "Choke." Seriously, make that thing stop.

That was distressing.

I think it's based on a French ad campaign, I remember seeing the posters for it while I was over there. The problem is the joke of the ad works better in French, where the slogan is "Naturally Pulpy" (naturellement pulpeuse) and in French the word "pulpeuse" is also slang to mean "sexy". So the play on words is a little more blunt than saying it's "juicy", and although both work because the drink itself is like carbonated orange juice, only one really works to make the whole sexy animals motif seem less gratuitous and more humorous.

It's still creepy though, and I'm sure there are some freaks masturbating furiously to this. Frankly whatever anyone does by themselves in their own bedroom (by "by themself" I mean no animals of course) is their business. I'll just scoff and masturbate to Japanese enema porn like a normal person.
