Hero Dog Just Did What Any Dog Would Do

Normally, scenes of such intensity would probably preclude this video from contention, but I just found out that both dogs were okay! Seeing it the first time, I was not sure. But now we can rejoice as a Chilean dog saves his friend:

Wow, so many camera angles. Big Brother much, Chile? That dog should be nationally celebrated!

I cant exactly tell because of his accent but the announcer either says "actions like this will continue to proliferate" or "accidents like this will continue to proliferate" because of the large stray dog problem.

Either way, its amusing to believe that it will one day be a common sight to see dogs drag each other to safety. Well, amusing except for that whole cars hitting dog thing.

I just about cried. There's only a few people I would do that for and about a billion I would actively throw into traffic.

this is way more "awww" worthy, than a dumb cat diving into a box.

much of the rest of the world treats dead dogs like most americans might treat a dead raccoon or something. when i was on vacation in greece, people would pass a dog literally dying in the sun on the sidewalk, and never even look at it. they'd step over it without breaking stride. also they rounded up all the strays before the olympics and killed them well, which must have taken a while because there were roving packs of feral dogs before. it was sad and also kinda scary.
plus, if the peoples of south and central america are desensitized to homeless toddlers huffing glue on park benches, i feel like they probably are unmoved by a stray dog in danger on the freeway.

This is a message to the President in Chile. Is time to havea law against ALL THE PEOPLE in Chile who does abandon pets in the street. The chilean should have for EVERY DOG AND CAT A LICENSE. Alos the stray animals should be put to "sleep" not kill them with strychnine.
this is an open PLEAD for "Su Excelencia Presidenta de la Republica en Chile"
