Farewell, Live Puppy Feed!

After a false alarm a few weeks ago that led to rampant speculation about what this nation will possibly find to fill the hours next, the Shiba Inu live puppy feed is really going away. The first puppies will go to their new homes (cha-CHING!) this very weekend. The South Florida Sun Sentinel's blog is the unlikely venue of the first live puppy feed tribute video:

Presumably the Sun-Sentinel had to use an original song because of rights issues, but the citizens of YouTube aren't subject to such laws, so expect more tributes set to tribute montage classics like "I Will Remember You" and (unironic-to-ironic-to-unironic) "Good Riddance" sometime early next week.

i was actually imagining 'i will remember you' too!
p.s. we got chosen to buy one of the puppies and we'll be there getting him sunday evening. our t-shirt is the black wad in the enclosure.
the puppies are SO much cuter in real life, if you can possibly imagine that. like, you can barely breathe. i can say without shame, sitting in the enclosure covered in sleeping puppies was probably one of the highlights of my life so far.
