The casting news today is that Matthew McConaughey might play Captain America. To some people, this is a poor choice. Sure, we all know that McConaughey stays in shape, but his lazy southern jam band demeanor seems wrong for the Ultimate Patriot. But I’m pretty sure anyone who feels that way just hasn’t seen this fan-made tribute to The Man Who Knew No Shirt:

Can’t say I want McConaughey as the Cap, but the casting director MUST NOT cast anyone other than DJ Qualls as scrawny, pre-super soldier serum Steve Rogers/Captain America.
At least Cap is a castable role. I can think of a bunch of guys who can pull it off, just not McConaughey.
Now Thor, on the other hand, is a tough one.
