Jesus Christ. Are we entering the Autumn of Death now? Is this going to be forever? Goodbye, Patrick Swayze. You’re in heaven now, keeping the angels out of the corner.

I’ve already said MY THING about HIM dancing IN HEAVEN and what not. But.
FUCK. This YEAR IS bringing me DOWN.
Agreed. Another star of my childhood gone. R.I.P., Patrick.
rob lowe better watch out, because with both michael jackson and patrick swayze gone, he’s the only one of my childhood celebrity crushes left. (at least they outlived river phoenix.) also on notice: keanu reeves and keifer sutherland. wish i’d had a crush on kirk cameron…
Shouldn’t this SUMMER OF DEATH have ended after Labor Day? If I’m not allowed to wear seersucker, celebrities shouldn’t be allowed to keep dying.
The autumn equinox isn’t for another week. Maybe death will throw us a bone and take care of Glenn Beck, or at least Jay Leno.
We all agree Jay sucks, but let’s let him live.
YEAH I VOTE that we keep THE DEATHS to a 0 regardless OF WHO IT is.
we should probably start cutting back on THE BIRTHS, then.
I didn’t MEAN IT like that. I JUST MEANT we shouldn’t FUCKIN WISH death ONTO anyone!
I’m willing to accept my downvotes like a man, but I simply have to post this tasteless, yet amusing image.
Haha…I debated posting it, but chickened out!
Gabe already put it in his post, so I guess theres nothing to worry about…
Haha. How many of these exist? This one is more accurate to its source material.
and then Swayze was all like, “Back off Warchild, seriously.”
Whoops. Apparently I should learn to click on links. I’ll downvote myself out (what?)
Yikes
…. but also LoL? I’m torn
Damn. and Jim Carroll died this weekend too…
Next up to complete the arbitrary trifecta: LADY GAGA*
*I merely wish a death on her career, not on her life
I am going to go all Cheesegum. Patrick Swayze was in a lot of my favorite movies as an adolescent, and when someone like this dies, it feels like a part of your childhood is lost, in a way. Not only did he leave behind a great career, but he managed to not be “Hollywoody” at all, as well as handled his illness and impending death with much grace. I truly feel for his wife of 34 years (that in itself is most admirable, let’s admit it), and his family. Stay Gold, Patrick. Stay gold.
RIP Swayze. Enjoy yourself in that Road House in the sky.
And now for something completely different…
Not to be a total cocksucker, but this whole “Summer of Death” rhetoric needs to stop, and really shouldn’t have ever started. Millions and millions of people died this summer, just like every summer (Welcome to College). Referring to this particular summer as such, only because a few celebrities passed at untimely points in their lives, seems, to me, very insensitive and condescending towards the majority of families dealing with their own tragedies. Maybe I’m denying the reality of our media-saturated, celebrity-obsessed culture, but the phrase is, ultimately, juvenile… I mean, come oh’on.
I don’t wish to take away the severity of every death that occurred over the last few months, but I really think people should use their brainz before throwing around nonsensical phrases and bringing the attention of others’ tragedies to themselves… That said – I’m a sad little panda today and will watch Point Break on repeat, probably all week. May Adrian and Barney now dance upon the heavens for all eternity.
Iz u rly a pnda?
I think the people who say it are fully aware of that.
ha – really? guess i’m the dumbass, then!
RELAX, technojeremy.
I refuse to believe Patrick Swayze is dead. no one puts baby in a coffin!
…no one!
Well, if no one else is gonna post it, then I will.
I hope somebody was able to inform his…… Next of Kin. Starring Patrick Swayze.
