If you’ve been watching The Daily Show this week, you’ve noticed a feud is brewing between Jon and Joe Scarborough, whose show, Morning Joe, has a 10 million dollar product placement deal with Starbucks. It all started when Scarborough and his crew did an entire show complimenting Starbucks and interviewing the Starbucks CEO, so Jon made fun of them appropriately, and Scarborough lashed back, claiming he was just being “sarcastic” in flaunting the product placement. The feud continued yesterday when Scarborough basically called Jon an angry little man with “a Napoleonic complex.” Oops, it seems those were the magic words!

The audience seemed to miss a joke in the beginning when Jon says “His show isn’t brewed by Starbucks it’s brewed by Massengill!” (Get it? Because he’s a douche?) And John Oliver standing on his knees reminds me of Gary Oldman in Tiptoes!

  1. Joe Scarborough is SO COOL! Did ya see him just hangin’ out in his corporate sponsored studio disin’ Jon Stewart’s height for pointing out his prostitute-like behavior and lack of integrity?

  2. Ugh, I continue to watch Morning Joe before I go to work because there’s nothing else on I actually want to watch and it’s not ALL bad, but Doucheborough is an absolute egomaniacal twat who acts like a child when arguing his positions.

The cognitive dissonance created by combining your name with the content of your post is pretty epic.

  3. This is a not the Daily Show’s best moment, though. It makes me go ouch.

you are a 100% right with this one my friend, i did not enjoy watching that at all, something died just a bit in that show last night and i can’t seem to explain it. I hope its the end of it…

  4. i guess only happy people kill their interns hey joe?

  5. In retaliation Jon Stewart should just start up his own morning TV show advertising Starbucks coffee called ‘Morning Jon: Brought to you by Starbucks’.

  6. John Oliver on his knees reminds me of Dorf. Then again, lots of things remind me of Dorf.

  7. Scarborough has been on Literally HUNDREDS OF SHOWS. Fuck you, Jon Stewart, and your ability to hold down a steady job!

  8. I think they could have done better.

Yeah, I liked John Oliver’s bit and Jon’s comment about taking a sh*t on the carpet, but the rest felt kind of slapped together. Not the sharp satire one would expect. Maybe Jon Stewart really is getting tired and bitter.

  9. I thought his bit about FOX & Friends earlier this week was hilarious.

  10. He was being sarcastic, he wasn’t really trying to be funny he was just sarcastically acting like he was being funny. I thought you guys were supposed to be able to understand sarcasm but I guess not.

  11. Stewart is just poking fun at how seriously and personally Scarborough took the whole thing. The Napoleon bit is not laugh out loud by yourself funny, but it’s a fairly witty response to the fairly lame and personal attack of “Napoleonic complex.”

John Oliver on his knees reminds me of fantasies I’ve had.
