Does anybody live in Lancaster, CA, North Aurora, IL, Rochester, NY, or Austin, TX? If so, you’re one of the lucky ones who tomorrow will have the opportunity to see After Last Season, the movie with the totally wtf trailer and clip that we introduced to the internet right here (though nobody believed me that it was real!) back in March. It does seem real, and the actors from the movie keep sending us really vague and earnest emails about it, which might totally be part of the After Last Season “thing,” whatever that “thing” is. If you live in one of those cities and have an adventurous spirit, won’t you please see it and drop us a line? I’m DYING to figure this movie out. Here’s the trailer again to whet your appetites. Everyone, or at least movie nerds, are going to be talking about this movie probably maybe!

How can you resist? It actually looks kind of excruciating! But maybe you can help make “I have some printers in the basement you can use” the new “You are tearing me apart, Lisa!” If you see it, please tell us about it! (Thanks to Brian, Jason, Lindsay, and Natasha for the screening tips!)

“He mailed them to me a couple of weeks before the day he was stabbed”

Also, can “They’ve got some printers in the basement you can use” become the new “Have fun at dinner”?

People that live in Rochester, NY can be called a lot of different things, “Lucky”, however, is so not one of them (Sorry, people that live in Rochester, NY). Also, could you please publish said earnest emails? Please?

I live in Fort Worth but I’ll definitely be driving down to Austin to see if After Last Season is even close to Teen Witch.

I grew up in Lancaster. I can’t believe they’re getting this.

Rochester yet not NYC??? I’m calling camp masterpiece shenanigans. This release strategy is just flat-out wrong, let alone totally unfair.

You’ll notice the theaters that are playing it are all the same chain. I’m guessing the director/producer tricked some distributor into a four city showing. I am friends with Jason Kulas, and I know he will be at the Rochester screening. I will have to sob in my hands here in New Haven, waiting patiently for the DVD…

i’m conflicted. i live near north aurora, and LOVE bad movies but this looks a little like something a church youth group put together during a lock-in. i’m wondering if it’s worth the risk of getting caught in a drive by shooting (north aurora has a surprisingly high amount of gang violence) just to endure a not quite so good worst movie of all time.

    help?

Go see this movie. It is terrible, but you have to see it at least once. 1/4 of it made up of the terrible “graphics” in the trailer.

I just saw this movie with friends in Lancaster, CA. The film is everything that the trailer promises! The major controversy between us is whether this is an accidental masterpiece, or an incredibly elaborate put-on. True to what has been said, it is a Hitchcockian psychological thriller, a drama that takes place “within the architecture of the mind”! Sooo awesome. Please! See it before it disappears forever!
