Description: In 1970s-era Dawn soap commercial, traditional advertising mechanism of heterosexual couple discussing the benefits of domestic cleaning products in comforting, recognizable “home” setting takes unexpected turn with the almost imperceptible TWSS*. There is no nuance or innuendo, this is literally what she said. (File under: LITERAL.) Advertisement cuts to voice over and image of product before husband can respond to wife’s suggestion, but one suspects that he accepted.
*May or may not be real. Incredible and hilarious regardless.

I’ve watched this a couple of times today, and I think she says “pork chop.” Of all the monkey-fighting things she could’ve said, I think that’s it.
Man, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve mistaken “pork chop” for “blowjob” I’d be a millionaire but my cheek would still have a giant hand shaped red mark permanently on it.
It does say “comp” in the title so I’m thinking it’s just an agency joke. Still funny, though.
TWSSAIIIC: that’s what she slipped, almost imperceptibly, into innocent conversation.
Yeah, it’s incredible that someone can overdub a line that wasn’t originally there. Huh?
FAKE. Women don’t know how to fish.
I don’t know what to believe anymore….
Fake. Blowjobs weren’t invented until 1993.
I wish somebody would tell Philip Roth that.
Fake or not, this should should be used as a case study in Comedy 101. The transitions from laughter > blowjob line > product/tagline shot are goddamn perfect timing-wise.
Um…may or may not be real? The entire *theme* of this YouTube poster is inappropriate ADR. But I digress. I did laugh. And not unlike boobs, sometimes; ah, forget it.
I think it isn’t real – but I decree that my mind shall pretend it is. Pork job? Blow chop?
All I know is I’m really hunger.
And I really want to clean.
