The martial arts is a lifelong discipline. To become proficient in them requires determination, physical fitness, but most of all time. It can take years of study before a student understands the fundamentals of their chosen style, and even after decades there is still more to learn. WELL SOME OF US DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME. For those of us who are ON THE GO, I think we could all learn something from Pasha, who tipster Ross says is “the Star Wars kid of Russia.” Oh really, Ross? Well I guess that makes sense because the Star Wars Kid is THE BEST KID.

What Pasha teaches us is that if you have nothing but a basic grasp of the fundamental idea of what karate KIND OF LOOKS LIKE, you just put on your denim jacket and your thick-soled sneakers, head out into the woods with your video camera, and within seven minutes you will chop all the minds in half.

Siiiiiick.

Tony Jaa is like “should we go outside?”

Pasha is the one.

Counting down the minutes until someone sets this clip to music…

  3. I am familiar with his fighting style. It is called Tire yourself out before getting your ass kicked.

    …also: Nikolai Dynamite.

  5. Tony Jaa: YES!

and poor Pasha is built like an arachnid.

  6. This guy is totally starring in the next Fatboy Slim video.

Clearly, he’s mastered the art of fighting without fighting

He seemed like quite the paranoid little bugger always looking over his shoulder like that.

  9. I can totally understand that he made this video. He wanted to see if his moves looked as sweet as they felt, like, in his body. What concerns me is that he was like, “Shit yeah, that looks hella fierce,” and still uploaded it to YouTube.

  10. that is the art of absolute nonchalant, being more clearly demonstrated between stints of pure energy.

  11. I like the part towards the end where he does peeing dog-style leg lifts while balancing on a log. Classic move.

Someone needs to show this kid a parkour video…

  13. obviously “wax on, wax off” works, Pasha-san.

  14. I like the part where he jumped over the log like a pansy, in order to jump back over the log like a badass.

I was impressed by that tree climbing thing. And the log balancing leg trick – every time I try that in yoga I fall over. And the getting up without his hands after the weird bridge push ups. My favorite part was when he got all the rocks away so he could jump over the log again and not get any head wounds. Can’t say I blame him.

  16. Whew. That was hot. I totally knocked one out around 6:13.

  18. I especially enjoyed that it was completely void of editing; seeing all of his failures means I won’t feel so bad if I mess up later today when I learn karate in a local forest… in 7 minutes… wearing a sweet jean jacket… while filming myself… wait, is this sounding ridiculous to anyone else?

  19. I see that he draws sustinence from tree sap. Intriguing.

  20. ?? ???? ????? ??????? whoops

He wore the jean jacket so he could hear his punches the way they sound in kung fu movies. And it worked!
