We’re here, we did it! WE MADE IT! We can finally put this whole Steve Wilkos week behind us and head out into our calm, refreshing weekends. Thank goodness. I hope you have nice weather. I am so eager for it to be spring, you have no idea, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be spring yet this weekend, BUT WE CAN ALWAYS HOPE! Wear layers! Ok, goodbye!

When my mom was in university, they were out celebrating her roommate’s new “fiancee” status and came home drunk to 2 feet of freshly fallen snow in their building’s parking lot. They OF COURSE had an epic snowball fight, and OF COURSE at the end of it discovered that the ring had fallen off. It was around 5 in the morning and as people woke up for the day they noticed these girls frantically digging through snow, and eventually they had about 20 people helping them sift through all of this freshly fallen snow and actually found the ring! Someone had called the paper (small town) and they ran a story on it, but took a picture of the roommate with a random guy who had been helping, saying that was her fiance, and her real fiance was so angry about this mistaken caption that he called off the wedding! So she was for sure 100% much better off NOT marrying the guy, and actually dated the fake fiance for a bit after (they had met in the ring search). Not sure what the moral is here. Always lose your engagement rings to find out if your future husband is a tool or not? I dunno. I like the story anyway. |

You guys! This week has been such a nightmare. I got some really bad news and had to spend most of my free time dealing with it and then the one night I didn’t have to, I got really drunk instead of sleeping and then almost fainted on the train the next morning because my body was like “WTF is your deal you jerk why are you doing this to me????” But this week I also got an unexpected promotion at my job AND won the caption contest so Silver Linings Playbook. Let’s all have a great weekend!

So that happened. Thanks for keeping the laughs coming this week, i was more of a taker than a GIFer (har har, sorry.) this week, i’m afraid. But the weekend is here, and i have a bike ride, a date, laundry, and avoiding drunk tourists lined up. AND Ms Flask just texted me to say she’s stopping by the best video rental store (maybe the last?) in the state- i don’t know what’s coming home but it will be great. Last weekend i watched Antichrist right after watching the campy 60s Batman movie… i think that’s what fucked up the rest of my week. BUT I DIGRESS. Have a great weekend everybody, dance, dance, and be merry.

I emailed Rob Thomas and asked how much it would cost via Kickstarter to kill off Piz immediately and he responded. The answer? A LOT. So let’s have an anti-Piz bakesale this weekend? Deal? Deal.

Today is the second day of March Blizzard 2013 (we get one every year).
So instead of spring, I got out my big coat and boots again after having only used a medium coat and light coat for a few weeks.
What is this spring of which you speak?

I know it’s Saturday morning and nobody’s going to read this! But last night I went to sleep at, like 9:30 because I’m an adult. And I had a dream that this morning I went on VG and in this thread somebody (I think it was timmybear) commented that they were in Boston for business and that everyone should get together and hang out. And so many people commented that they were in town too, and were so excited, but I was really sad because I had gone to sleep early and missed the whole thing!

i always peek in on Saturday morning just to see if anybody posted a funny dream. Today it finally paid off! While you slept early like an adult, I stayed up late and drank wine and ate a brownie and watched The Names Of Love (Le Nom Des Gens originally, which means we did not get a literal translation in English and the French title was much more apropos to the theme of the film). It was good! (good review, flaskie) Sorry you missed the dream party
